Working in Application Support means you'll use both creative and critical thinking skills to maintain application systems that are crucial to the daily operations of the firm. You'll work collaboratively in teams on a wide range of projects based on your primary area of focus: design or programming. While learning to fix application and data issues as they arise, you'll also gain exposure to software development, testing, deployment, maintenance and improvement, in addition to production lifecycle methodologies and risk guidelines. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
* Basic knowledge of application development
* Working knowledge in one or more general purpose programming languages, plus an interest in learning other coding languages and skills as needed
* Working knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
* Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals

The Technology team at our GSCs service all Lines of Business and Enterprise Technology in helping build and operate innovative industry leading solutions. The breadth of capabilities within the Technology team at the GSC enables it to support the firm in leading edge areas such as Digital, Big data analytics, Robotics & Machine Learning.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Experience in application and user support with a strong experience in Python.

Working level proficiency in Database, Linux and Scheduling tools.

Minimum technical experience of 8+ years.

Possess a good problem solving skill to understand and remediate the issues.

Experience in finance or investment banking is a plus.

Ability to develop a good understanding of end to end business processes.

Enthusiastic to keep learning and growing, in technical aptitude, business understanding and personal effectiveness.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact confidently and credibly with business users and stakeholders as part of support and escalations.

Eager to take ownership of work, have real business impact, overcome obstacles and take it through to completion, working as part of this team and collaborating with a much bigger community of developers sharing the technology and code base.

Experience working with front office users or other control functions and a desire to partner with the business is an advantage.

Follow-the-sun support model, experience working across multiple time zones

Incident management experience or the willingness to learn.

Required Skills:
