Position Summary
As a part of CIB Merchant Services Production Engineering team, you will be responsible for driving the aggressive agenda to transform our support capabilities for real-time transaction monitoring, end-to-end.
In this role, you will be working as part of a Scrum team to find creative solutions that improve our customer's experience and brand reputation when facing credit card processing issues. Our team is responsible for tracing and monitoring real-time transactions through various systems end-to-end, displaying key information, and provided the controls necessary to mitigate incidents.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
1-2 years working within an enterprise environment using n-tier application framework
Proven Splunk experience required; searches, alerts, reports and dashboards; Splunk certification a plus
Familiarity with JSON/XML and experience using SOAP/RESTful APIs
Experience with one or more languages: Java, SQL, Python and Bash, proficient with the use of regex
Experience using Splunk to capture applications baseline performance deviations and implementing proactive monitoring and alerting for production systems.
Experience analyzing data for anomalies and trends, and building dashboards highlighting the key trends of the data.
Effectively influence, negotiate, and communicate with internal and external business partners
Independent thinker able to bring creative ideas/improvements to the table - someone that is not scared to challenge our current work
Capable of asking strong questions, creating team environment with open communications and free thinking, providing recommendations for continuous product improvement
Experience troubleshooting incidents and performing root cause analysis
Analytical mindset to drive identification of patterns/trends to identify problematic situations.
