Skyward, Ltd. is a rapidly growing small business, located in Dayton Ohio, that provides engineering survivability, vulnerability, and lethality support to Department of Defense and commercial customers, specializing in test & evaluation support, modeling & simulation (including advanced physics-based simulation and machine learning), reverse engineering, and Unmanned Aerial Systems. We develop software for a variety of applications from rapid structural analysis tools used to simulate Live Fire Tests to Unmanned Aerial System (UAS)-embedded anomaly detection algorithms and live geospatial UAS sensor data visualization. Skyward Ltd. is seeking a well-rounded mid- to senior-level software engineer with experience leading software development projects and small teams in our Dayton, OH location to function in the following role:


  • Lead software development of cross-platform engineering, visualization, and machine learning software products.
  • Collaborate with the Modeling & Simulation (M&S) team and participate in a unique mentorship opportunity to develop and integrate machine learning, dynamic simulation, and UAS software.
  • Interact with customers and partners to develop an understanding of program issues and interact with the M&S team to devise solutions and new products.

Position Requirements

  • Be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a national security clearance (Secret, Top Secret, SCI)
