The India Markets Electronic Trading Team is looking for an ambitious and motivated individual to join their team. As a senior C++ developer in Software Engineering, you will be part of best-in-class connectivity development teams in India and will work with highly inspired and inquisitive teams of technologists who are already developing and deploying applications to the highest standards. The teams are responsible for providing true multi-asset Exchange Connectivity platforms that will cover cash, swaps, listed options and futures.

You will combine your years of proven expertise with a never-ending quest to create innovative technology through solid engineering practices. With your deep knowledge of design, analysis, development, coding, testing and application programming, your team will raise their game even more, satisfying both business and functional requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop connectivity applications for electronic trading with heavy emphasis on low-latency.

The ideal candidate should have exceptionally strong programming skills in C++, and possess a good understanding of algorithms, data structures, operating systems, networks, and hardware.

We are a global team with developers in New York, London, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. Our team has developed in-house low-latency connectivity applications that are both client and exchange facing. We are looking to improve our application latency, make our applications more resilient and supportable, as we expand into markets for other asset classes.

Required Skills

Strong academic record with Bachelor's degree, equivalent or above in Engineering, Technology or a related discipline required.

10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience through all phases of a software development lifecycle.

Experience with development, deployment, and support of large-scale distributed applications in a mission-critical production environment.

Strong C++ programming skills.

Good knowledge of Linux, Python and algorithms.

TCP/IP socket programming skills.

Object-oriented programming skills.

Demonstrable involvement with process improvement/automation initiatives.

High level of energy and can work under pressure with minimal supervision.

Focused on usability, scalability, maintainability, quality and building applications for the long term.

Excellent verbal and written skills are critical since this job primarily entails communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
