Senior Data Engineer with Python at Marketer Technologies AS (Oslo, Norway)

We are looking for a Data Engineer with a strong Python background who wants to work with building awesome data-centric services as well as data pipelines to cater for our growing product portfolio. You will join a talented and competent team and it is expected that you are able to make a considerable knowledge contribution to the team, specifically in your capacity as a Data Engineer. In addition, it is beneficial if you have a keen interest in Data Science and Machine Learning as most of the deliverables will be insight-based.

We currently partner with prominent real estate agencies and property developers in more than 20 countries, across 6 continents. Our solutions are created to improve how real estate is sold, and the positive effect has recently been documented through an in-depth case study done over three years. We call it the Marketer Effect, and the results are astonishing.

This is a full-time position based in our beautiful Oslo office where you will join our ambitious, international team. We take great pride in our fun and inclusive culture, and we have several social activities a month such as morning swims along the pier at Tjuvholmen, game nights, and fun work-out sessions after work. You can start remote, but at some point, we would like you to relocate to Norway, where we will also assist you with the relocation and visa applications.

As our Data Engineer, you will:

• Ensure successful planning, development and launch of new services, as well as aid in maintaining and ensuring stability and scalability of our existing solutions.
• Work on our automated systems capable of generating and optimizing every aspect of a marketing campaign.
• Designing and improving algorithms for selecting target audiences and working with our NLP team on our system for ad copy generation.
• Build an effective data architecture, streamline data processing, and maintain large-scale data systems.

Your skills and experience

• 4+ years experience with Python
• Understanding of BDD/TDD and relevant tools in Python
• Know, and adhere to, the SOLID principles
• Data Engineering experience

Good to have, but not a requirement

• Experience with GCP
• Postgres SQL
• Apache Airflow
• Django /Flask or /FastAPI experience
• Kubeflow pipelines
