Data Scientist Lead, VP - Card Strategic Insights at JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A. (Wilmington, DE)

The Card Strategic Insights Team is responsible for working across our credit card organization to develop and execute data science and analytical solutions to advance our marketing, product, and channel strategies. The successful candidate will be a key member of the analytic team responsible for driving competitive insights, delivering automation, and developing proactive insights across card services. This individual will demonstrate strong analytic & problem-solving skills, superior communication skills, and leverage sound judgment to effectively work in a fast pace and dynamic environment. Additionally, he/she will possess the ability to work with and synthesize large amounts of data into actionable analysis and provide a point of view to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities will include:

Owns End-to-end competitor & industry insights and understands their impacts to our business

Delivers a point-of-view to senior management on risk and opportunities that are emerging in the industry and how Chase is positioned vs. other issuers

Effectively prioritizes and delivers a portfolio of high impact initiatives and negotiates priorities and organizes resources to meet commitments

Partners closely with business customers to identify impactful projects, influence key decisions with data, and ensure client satisfaction

Delivers scalable and sustainable new analytic capabilities & automation solutions that unlock value and provide efficiency

Builds strong communications that effectively convey analytical findings and recommended actions in such a way that effectively influences senior executives

Develops the team and contributes to a positive and inclusive culture and employee experience

Qualifications

5+ years of industry experience in data science or business analytics roles (e.g., marketing analytics, product analytics, business insights)

Experience across broad range of modern data science and analytics platforms, languages, and tools (e.g., Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, Hadoop, Spark, Python,)

Excellent communicator who's able to convey complex information in an understandable, compelling, and persuasive manner to senior executives

Thought leader in data science and/or analytics who can help our internal clients define their business problem, create solutions to address it, plan and execute the implementation

Expert knowledge in quantitative methods for business and advanced data science

Bachelor's degree in relevant quantitative field required (e.g. Statistics, Economics, Applied Math, Operations Research, Physics, Data Science fields); advanced degree preferred

Financial services background preferred
